WR-DA7 Setup

To set the WR-DA7 tandem master and slave as the WCK (wordclock) slave, set the [Source Select]
to [WCK IN] in the D-I/O Input Set screen of the WR-DA7.

To set the MIDI input and output ports, set [Gen Rx, Gen Tx] ports to [MIDI] and the [CH] of
both of the WR-DA7s to [1] in the MIDI setup screen.

To use Program Change set [Tx, Rx] to [ON] in the PRG CHG setup area in the MIDI setup screen.

To use Control Change, set [Tx, Rx] and NRPN to [ON] in the CTRL CHG setup area in the MIDI
setup screen.

To use System Exclusive set [Tx, Rx] to [ON] in the System EX setup area in the MIDI setup screen.

To have the WR-DA7 receive MTC, set the [MTC Port] to [MIDI] in the MIDI Set up area of the
MIDI setup screen for the tandem master WR-DA7.

To display MTC timecode on the LCD screen set the [Time Base] to [MTC] in the Automation
Execute screen.

To use MMC set [MMC Port] to [MIDI] in the MIDI setup area of the Tandem master WR-DA7.

To establish communication between the two WR-DA7s, set the [Port Select] to [To PC] in the serial
I/O setup item of the MIDI setup Area on both the master and slave, and select the same baud rate
(125K) for both.

To make the tandem connection valid select [Tandem] to [ON] in the D-I/O [To Slot] screen. Make
sure the PORT SELECT is set TO PC, then select AUTO in the OFFSET DELAY SECTION. CONNECT
will read SLOT NG or DATA NG until the SLAVE console is configured.
