1 Installation

1.1 Installation

1. Plug one end of the phone cable into the telephone (1) and

the other end into the telephone line wall socket.

2. Connect the little plug of the AC adaptor to the phone (2)

and the other end to the electric socket.

1.2 Charging the batteries

Put 3 AAA batteries (NiMH) into the battery compartement of the

handset. Put the handset, face downwards, on the base station.

You will hear a short beep signal. Charging the batteries will take

about 15 hours when the batteries are completely empty. When

you want to use the phone for the first time, the batteries have to

be fully charged. During speed-charging, it is possible that the

handset and the base station warm up. The handset will have its

full capacity when it has been charged for the fourth or fifth time.

To obtain a long-life battery, you have to completely discharge

the batteries regularly (1 x per quarter). For discharging the

batteries, put the handset next to and not on the base station

until it deactivates itself automatically. Do not forget to re c h a rg e

the batteries afterw a rds. Dependent on the number of discharg i n g

operations, the lifespan of the batteries will diminish.

1.3 Activate/deactivate the handset

To deactivate the phone, press and hold the On/Off button for

3 seconds. If you want to reactivate the device, press the On/Off

button again.

1.4 Activate/deactivate call barring

Press the On/Off button once to activate call barring. Three

hyphens appear in the display. Press the On/Off button again

to deactivate call barring.
