Auxiliary Heat

Auxiliary heat consists of additional stages of conventional gas, or
electric heat, capacity included with most heat pump systems. The
auxiliary heat stages are automatically selected by the system when
the outside temperature is too cold for the heat pump to heat your
home effectively. The staging of the auxiliary heat is based on the
information selected in the MRX Advanced Network System
Controller setup of your thermostat.
