Troubleshooting

Problem

Solution

A digital equipment or high-
frequency equipment
produces noises

The CinemaStation may be placed
close to the digital equipment or
high-frequency equipment.

Place the CinemaStation further away
from such equipment.

The Set Menu configurations
have been cleared

The power to the CinemaStation may
be lost more than a week.

Make sure the power cable is plugged
into the outlet firmly, then configure the
Set Menu settings again. (page 75)

The volume does not
increase or sounds are
distorted

The power of the component
connected to a CinemaStation’s
output jack may be turned off.

Turn on the power of the component
connected to a CinemaStation’s output
jack.

Recording sounds does not
reflect the sound field effect
settings

The sound field effects are not
available for recording.

Sound played on the
CinemaStation cannot be
recorded with an external
recorder

You may be trying to make a digital
recording with an analog source, or
analog recording with a digital
source.

Use proper audio sources.

The recording equipment may be
connected to the CinemaStation with
an analog connection.

Connect them with a digital connection.

Sounds played on the AV
equipment connected to the
CinemaStation cannot be
recorded with external
recording equipment

Either the AV equipment or recording
equipment may be connected to the
CinemaStation with a digital
connection.

Connect those equipment to the
CinemaStation with analog

The CinemaStation does not
operate properly

The CinemaStation may receive a
strong electrical shock, such as from
a lightening bolt or excessive static
electricity, or drop in power supply.

Set the CinemaStation to the Standby
mode, then disconnect the power cable.
Wait for about 30 seconds, then connect
the power cable and turn on the
CinemaStation.
