Fading Out

You can have the style fade out and automatically stop by pressing the

[FADE IN/OUT] button.

Using the Pedals
You can also use the left pedal to trigger
a fade-in or fade-out by setting the LEFT
PEDAL function (page 138) to FADE IN/
OUT.

The lamp flashes as the style fades out.

You can use the Fade Out function in combination with any pattern

(including the Introduction and Ending functions).

The Clavinova will play one of three ending patterns, depending on

the main pattern that is currently playing, as shown below.

Ending C/D

[MAIN C] or [MAIN D]

Ending Patterns

Press [ENDING] a second time while the ending pattern is playing to

produce a ritardando (gradually slowing) effect.

Using the Pedals
You can also use the left pedal to trigger
the ending pattern and ritardando by
setting the LEFT PEDAL function (page
138) to ENDING/RIT.
