LAYBACK

Zoom

The Zoom function allows you to enlarge the video image
and pan through the enlarged image.

1 Press ZOOM.

➤ The system menu bar appears with Zoom selected.

2 Press w/v (down/up cursor) to activate the Zoom

function and select the required zoom factor; 1.33, 2
or 4.
➤ Playback will pause.
➤ The picture will change accordingly.
➤ The selected zoom factor appears below the Zoom
icon in the system menu bar. ‘Press OK to pan’
appears below the system menu bar.

3 Press ENTER/OK.

➤ The panning icons w/v/u/t (down/up/right/left
cursor) and ENTER/OK appear on the screen.

4 Use w/v/u/t (down/up/right/left cursor) to move the

zoomed image around the screen.

5 Press ENTER/OK and only the zoomed picture will

show on the screen.

6 Press

to exit zoom mode and return to normal

playback.

7 Press SYSTEM MENU to remove the system menu

bar.

Shuffle

DVD Discs
This shuffles the playing order of chapters within a title, if
the title has more than one chapter.

1 Press SHUFFLE during playback.
2 To return to normal playback, press SHUFFLE again.

Video CDs
This shuffles the playing order of tracks within a disc, if the
disc has more than one tracks.

1 Press SHUFFLE during playback.
2 To return to normal playback, press SHUFFLE again.

Special DVD+RW/+R features

Recording date and time

If a recording was made from a digital video camera using
the i.LINK DV input, the original recording date and time
are automatically stored as DVD subtitles.
● Press SUBTITLE to display the recording date and

time.
➤ The recording date and time are displayed in the
right bottom corner of the screen.

Special DVD-Video features

Menus on the disc

Some DVDs include disc menus for Title or Chapter
selection or special playback features. You can make
selections from these menus.

Title menus

1 Press TOP MENU.

➤ If the current title has a menu, the menu will appear
on the screen. Otherwise, the disc menu will be
displayed.

2 The menu can list camera angles, spoken language and

subtitle options, and chapters for the title.
Press the appropriate numerical button to choose a
numbered item or use w/v/u/t (down/up/right/left
cursor) to highlight your selection, then press
ENTER/OK.

3 To exit the menu, press TOP MENU again.

Note:
Most DVDs do not have separate disc and title menus.

Disc menu

If a DVD-Video disc has separate disc and title menus, you
can navigate to the disc menu as follows:
