Initializing a CD-RW disc

This operation initializes a CD-RW disc.

1.

Set a CD-RW disc in the disc tray, then press and
hold ERASE for about two seconds.

“Erase Disc ?” appears on the display.

To cancel erasing, press a.

2.

Press w/d to start erasing.

“Erasing” flashes on the display, and the level meter shows the
erasing progress (the process takes about 20 minutes).

Notes

• “Erase Last” and “Erase TOC” cannot be applied to a CD-RW

disc recorded with “Full Auto” (P.42) (except for adding track
data to a disc without finalization) or a CD-RW disc recorded
with duplication.

• Never turn off the power of this unit during erasing.

• If “Check Disc” appears on the display during erasing, and

erasing stops, there may be dust or damage on the CD-RW disc.
Check the CD-RW disc and start the erasing operation again.
