CONNECTIONS

Connecting an external decoder

This unit is equipped with six additional input jacks (left and right
MAIN, CENTER, left and right SURROUND and
SUBWOOFER) for discrete multi-channel input from an external
decoder, sound processor, or pre-amplifier. Connect the output jacks
on your external decoder to the 6CH INPUT jacks.

Notes

• When you select “6CH INPUT” as the input source, this unit

automatically turns off the digital sound field processor, and you
cannot listen to DSP programs.

• When you select “6CH INPUT” as the input source, settings of “1

SPEAKER SET” on the SET MENU do not apply (except for “1G
MAIN LEVEL”).

Connecting a game console

These jacks are used to connect any video input source such as a
game console and a video camera to this unit.

Connecting the AC power cord

Plug the power cord into the AC inlet when all connections are
complete, and then plug in the AC power cord to the wall outlet.

Caution

• Do not use other AC power cords than the one provided. Other-

wise it may result in causing fire or an electrical shock.

Use these outlets to connect the power cords from your components
to this unit. The power to the AC OUTLET(S) is controlled by this
unit’s STANDBY/ON (or SYSTEM POWER and STANDBY).
These outlets will supply power to any connected component
whenever this unit is turned on. The maximum power (total power
consumption of components) that can be connected to the AC
OUTLET(S)
is 100 W.

your local voltage before plugging into the AC main supply.
