Off-Site Notification

When you activate the Telephone Locking feature on your
telephone, the NBX system sends you off-site notification messages
only if the notification number (for example, your pager number) is a
toll-free telephone number. See

“Telephone Locking”

later in this

chapter.

Notice Behaviors

These tables explain how the cycle of notice behaviors depends on the
method that you select for the first attempt. See the definitions as well
as

“Resetting the Off-Site Notification Cycle”

.

If you specify EMail for the first attempt:

E-mail

You receive an e-mail notice for each voice
message.

Each e-mail notice contains information about
the voice message (like time of receipt and the
number that called), and the voice message is
attached as a WAV file.

and then you configure attempt:

2 through 5 as

E-mail

You receive an additional e-mail notice for each
voice message.

The second e-mail notice contains no
information about the voice message (like time
of receipt and the number that called) and no
WAV file attachment.

2 through 5 as

Pager

You receive a pager call for each voice
message.

2 through 5 as

VoiceMail

You receive a telephone call for each voice
message.
Follow the prompts to log in and
listen to messages, or log in to the NBX NetSet
utility.

If you specify Pager or VoiceMail for the first attempt:
