given, use the fastest PCIe slot available. Although the HBA is compatible with both PCIe 1.1 and 2.0 standards,
only the latter is recommended for best performance.
Follow these steps to install the card in each host system:
1. Hold the HBA with mounting plate facing your left.
Locate the “mode” jumper switch on the north edge at
center-right, as shown and labeled below.
2. Re-position the HBA so that you are facing the three
switch buttons. Locate the switch button with the label
of “1”; make sure that it is in the “OFF” position as
shown below. Note that while there is only the “ON”
label, “OFF” is simply at the opposite end of “ON”. The
ON/OFF position of the other two switch buttons is
irrelevant at this time; the default is set to “OFF.”
