6.3 Exchange of the process fitting
The process fitting on VEGABAR 40 can be
easily exchanged.
• First remove the three screws on the lower
side of the housing with a hexagon socket
(Allen) wrench, size 3
• Remove the process fitting in the direction
of the arrows from the sensor such that the
connection cable is not damaged
• Pull out the plug connection

To mount the other process fitting, proceed in
reverse sequence:
• Insert the cable from the sensor into the
process fitting
• Put the process fitting and the sensor
together
• Screw the process fitting to the sensor,
only use the original screws and plain
washers
Note:
When switching on the first time (connection
of power supply) after exchange of the proc-
ess fitting, it will take approx. 20 s until the
actual measured value is displayed.
