8 .6 Instrument repair
I f a repair is necessary, please proceed as follows:

B y doing this you help us carry out the repair quickly and without
having to call back for needed information.
l P rint and fill out one form per instrument
l C lean the instrument and pack it damage-proof
l A ttach the completed form and, if need be, also a safety data
sheet outside on the packaging
l P lease ask the agency serving you for the address of your return
shipment. You can find the respective agency on our website
www.vega.com under: "Company - VEGA worldwide"
O n instruments with exchangeable rod, the rod must be unscrewed for
transport to avoid damages.
R eturn the parts separately for repair.
T o loosen to rod, you require a fork spanner with wrench size 8.
1 L oosen the rod with a fork spanner applied to the flat surfaces
(SW 8), provide counterforce with another fork spanner (SW 8)
2 T wist off the loosened rod manually
