4.7 Wireless
This section will guide you through your CPE’s Wireless configuration. The CPE is shipped with a default
AP (Access Point) enable; you must restart AP for Wireless changes to take effect.
4.7.1 Setup
The CPE has it default SSID named “ADSL_Wireless” you can redefine this field, the SSID is a unique
name to identify the CPE in the Wireless LAN. Wireless stations associating to the CPE must have the
same SSID.

The SSID can be select Hidden, in so a station can not obtain the SSID through passive scanning, otherwise
the AP will be visible.
The radio frequency used by IEEE 802.1b/g Wireless devices is called a channel; the channel can be
defined from 1 to 11.
