Server management overview
The server management tools supported by this system are listed in the
table below.
Tool Function
BIOS Setup Utility Configure different hardware components and
system functions (memory, processor, and security
settings). Please refer to the “4 System BIOS” on page
77 for details.
Acer Smart Server
Manager Remotely manage the server in a network
environment through a single management station.
For detailed instructions on how to install and use this
utility, please refer Acer Smart Server Manager User
Guide..
Acer Smart Setup Allows you to install your choice of operating system
for the server, clone system to set up multiple
identical servers, update the system BIOS and
firmware, set up BMC, and configure RAID for the
system hard drivers. For detailed instructions on this
utility, please refer to the Acer Smart Setup Help file.
Note: BIOS and firmware updates are only available
on selected operating systems.
Acer Smart Console Remotely manage the server via a UPnP tool or a Web
browser. For detailed instructions on this utility,
please refer to “Appendix C: Acer Smart Console” on
page 141.
