Viewing the current configuration

The current configuration can be viewed using the front panel buttons. Press and
release the Output button and the LED for the input tied to it will light. If, when
you view video and audio ties, the Audio LED blinks and the Video LED is on after
selecting an input or output, the LEDs indicate that the audio ties are not the same
as the video ties for that input (audio breakaway is
active).

Viewing and adjusting the audio level

The audio level of each input can be displayed and
adjusted through a range of -18dB to +24dB to ensure
that there is no noticeable volume difference among
sources. The audio level can be adjusted from the front
panel or by using Extron’s Windows-based control
program. To adjust the audio level of an input from
the front panel:

1

.

Select an input, then press and hold the Conf/
Save button until the I/O LED begins to blink
(approx. 5 seconds), indicating that the audio
adjustment mode is active. The Input LEDs, and
the decrement (

) and increment (

) LEDs,

display the audio level. The Video/+dB displays
positive (+) polarity and the Audio/-dB displays
negative polarity. Both LEDs are lit to indicate
0dB.

2

.

Press and release an input button to select an input.

3

.

Each Input LED, and the Decrement (

) and

Increment (

) LEDs, indicate 0dB when off, 1dB

when blinking slowly, 2dB when blinking quickly,
and 3dB when lit. Refer to the chart at right.

4

.

Press and release the Decrement or Increment
button to increase or decrease the audio input
level.

5

.

Press and hold the Conf/Save button until the
I/0 LED turns off to save the attenuation or gain
value in memory and exit the audio display and
adjustment mode.

1.

There is one audio level setting per input.
The audio level setting is shared by the left
and right audio inputs.

2.

The audio level settings are stored in non-
volatile memory. When power is removed
and restored, the audio level settings are
retained.
