Signs of a Bad OTDR Connector

Figure 37 shows traces from OTDRs with good and poor
OTDR port connections. The tester’s OTDR Port

Connection Quality gauge (page 30) lets you know if the
connection is poor. Use a fiber microscope to inspect the
connector for dirt and damage. If the connector is
damaged, contact Fluke Networks for service information.
