QUICK START GUIDE – BROAD SCAN (HD/SDI)

ANALOG WAY

CONNECTIONS:

 Turn OFF all of your equipment before connecting.

 Connect the AC power supply cord to the BROAD SCAN and to an AC power outlet.

 Connect your computer sources to the COMPUTER INPUT (HD15) connector or the DVI-D INPUT connector.

 As required, connect a control monitor on the MONITOR OUT (HD15 or DVI-D) connector.

NOTE: The analog (RGB) MONITOR OUT is available only if the COMPUTER source is analog.
NOTE: The DVI-D MONITOR OUT is available only if the COMPUTER source is DVI-D.

 Connect your display device (TV monitor, VCR...) to the outputs (analog or SDI*).

 Turn ON the BROAD SCAN (rear panel switch). Then turn ON your input source and then your display devices.

* The SDI outputs are available on BHD930 & BSD830 models only.

RGB/COMPONENT output connection:

SETTINGS:

 We recommend resetting the BROAD SCAN to all of its default values, with the front panel display menu

(CONTROLdefault valueyes) before proceeding.

 Select the auto-setting menu with the front panel display menu (INPUTAuto setting) and activate this function with

ENTER. This function detects automatically the input type of the source connected to the input connectors (DVI &
RGB). Then the device performs an auto-centering function.

 Select the Input status menu (INPUTInput status) to verify the correct detection of the type and format of your input

source. If a wrong message is displayed, select manually the type of your input source (INPUTInput Type).

 Select the output format and rate (OUTPUTFormat).

 For SDTV output format (PAL, NTSC) select the type of the RGB/YCrCb output (OUTPUTType).

 Perform the needed image adjustments, available in the IMAGE menu.
