Selecting the operating mode /
pin assignment

There are 4 operating modes:
• Forward dosing
• Reverse dosing
• Rinsing mode, i.e. there is a free flow through the dosing unit
• Heating mode to be used at low temperatures
The various operating modes are generated by different configurations
of the four plug pins:

The unit will operate without a continuous power supply on pin 1.

In this case, there is a brief initialization time before the dosing (approx. 25
ms).

The duty cycle time in the rinsing mode is limited to avoid over-
heating. The unit is switched off automatically after 10 minutes.

If the ambient temperature is low, heating mode can be used to warm-up
the unit. For safety reasons, heating mode only ever operates for 60 s,
the unit then automatically switches back to a mode with a lower power
consumption.
If the heat output during the unit's heating cycle is not sufficient, the
heating cycle can be repeated by briefly interrupting (> 5 ms) and then
reconnecting the power supply voltage.

NOTE!

Overheating and destruction of the components!
The unit components must not exceed a temperature of 80°C.

The unit's fluid channels are blocked during the heating operation.

Functions".
