Arming

The SEC-8028 can be armed either by the
SEC-8428 remote control transmitter or
automatically after all the doors are closed.

Remote Controlled Arming

1. Remove the key from the ignition.
2. Exit from the vehicle and close all doors.
3. Press the TX button to arm the security

system.
(The remote control LED will illuminate to
indicate that the signal is being
transmitted.)

NOTE: To silently arm the system, press the

MODE button, followed by the TX button.

Automatic (Passive) Arming

1. Turn the ignition off and remove the key

from the ignition.

2. Exit from the vehicle and close all doors.
3. The system will arm automatically 10

seconds after the interior dome light turns
off.

Notes:

• The security system must be set for

Automatic Arming. See your dealer for
details..

• For your protection, the system is preset

so that the doors will not lock when the
system is armed automatically (pas-
sively). Consult your Alpine dealer if you
would like the doors to lock when the
system automatically arms.

• If a door, hood, or trunk (if connected) is

opened during the 10 second exit delay
time, the system will automatically stop
and reset the timer and will resume its
countdown when the last door, hood, or
trunk is closed.
