♦ Specified Range Peak Load Judgment (Method 5)
This Load Control press method allows judgment of a peak load (PS) at a certain
distance (DS).
Upon start of cycle, the press will operate until it achieves [13: Standard Load]. During
the press cycle, as soon as [18: Crossover Load] is achieved, the press will begin
looking for a peak in press force (PS). The press will attempt to detect (PS) until
[24: Crossover Distance] has been reached. During the press cycle, checks are
performed for “1
ST Judgment Zone”, 1 ST Rate, 2 ND Rate, Load, Distance, 1 ST Time and
2 ND Time. If any of these values are compromised, the press will stop and return as
programmed. Final Judgment is based on the distance (DS) where the press force
peaks while within the “Detection Range”.

ƒ If “1 ST Judgment Zone” is not used, set [15: 1 ST Load] to [10: CAL Load] and
[23: 1 ST Distance] to a minimum of [21: High Distance].
ƒ Review Speed Section explanations and cautions when setting [15: 1 ST Load],
[14: Speed Change Load], [24: Crossover Distance] and [20: Freerun
Distance].
ƒ If 1 ST Rate or 2 ND Rate are not used, set judgment windows wide open; low value
of 0 and maximum high value. Also, if 1 ST H/L Check is not being used, set
[17: Threshold Load] to [10: CAL Load].
