Sending Information from the CE Client to the
Batch Portable Utility
Information for transactions performed on the handheld device such as
inventory moves, physical inventory counts, cycle counts, order receiving
and order picking are sent to the Batch Portable Utility via the synchroni-
zation process. The data synchronization process may be initiated from the
handheld device or from the Batch Portable Utility.

Syncing Data
from the
Batch
Portable
Utility
To initiate a data sync with the handheld device from the Batch Portable
Utility:
1.
Select CE Portable > Receive Data from the main menu.
2.
A message appears, asking you if the handheld device is connected to
your PC. If it is connected, select Yes to continue with the data sync.
3.
Another message appears, telling you to check your handheld device
for further instructions.
4.
If the CE Client application is open on the handheld device, it automat-
ically closes and the send data process begins. Status screens appear
that show the data transfer progress. When the data transfer finishes,
the status screen displays “successful upload” on the CE Client and
then the screen closes.
