Introduction
The IntelliTrack Package Track Batch application is installed on the batch
portable device. The Package Track Batch application must be run locally
from each batch portable device that is using it. Use the Batch application
to collect data remotely with a batch portable device. IntelliTrack applica-
tions use Remote Data Access (RDA) for workstation-batch communica-
tion. RDA encompasses many components and involves system setup. The
following sections go through the DMS Batch installation setup process.
The procedures will vary according to your operating system (Windows
XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, or Windows Vista/Win-
dows 7). Please refer to
“Batch Installation Prerequisites by Operating Sys-

DMS.
Warning: If Remote Data Access is not properly setup and configured, the
workstation and device will not be able to communicate with each other.

package receipt and delivery data, please refer to
. Once you collect your data, upload the collected data to the
workstation application. (DMS Batch uses a SQL CE database that inte-
grates with the central SQL server database in the workstation application.)

Batch Installation Prerequisites by Operating
System
The steps for completing the IntelliTrack DMS Batch Application prereq-
