6. Calibration: When calibrating the air seeder, make sure to check the information printed on the inoculant
bag, in order to follow the proper line on the seeder rate chart and seeder operator’s manual. Make sure to
calibrate with your chosen inoculant at the start of each season with the bags and the specific products that
are being seeded.
7. Metering System: Regularly check metering system to ensure proper product flow. Check tanks more
frequently when seeding in high humidity conditions. Also check distributor head caps regularly to ensure that
there is no product buildup on the underside. Environmental conditions may affect product flowability.
8. Pressure Test: A regular pressure test is very important, and can be done in very little time by contacting
your equipment dealer for details.
9. Screen: Make sure that the screen is installed in the hatch opening of the tanks in order to prevent foreign
objects form entering the tank.
