T ROUBLESHOOTING —N AVIGATION S YSTEM
Symptom Cause Solution
The vehicle position is displayed incor-
rectly on the screen. The vehicle position changed after the
ignition was switched off:
• Movement on a ferry boat
• Rotation of a parking lot turntable
• Movement by a tow truck
Drive the vehicle in an area of good GPS
reception to allow the unit to recalibrate.
Poor satellite reception caused by the ob-
struction of satellite signals (tall buildings,
tunnels, indoor parking lots, mountains) Move to a location where strong GPS
reception is possible.
Not enough satellites to give three-
dimensional positioning
The system doesn’t recognize my destina-
tion name. Incorrect spelling Re-enter name with correct spelling.
Name isn’t entered correctly (i.e. missing
an apostrophe, dash, space, hyphen) Re-enter exact name.
The GPS antenna is disconnected. Work on vehicle has disconnected the
