Displaying Radio Text

Text messages from a radio station can be
displayed.

1

Tune in a radio station that transmits text
messages.

Press the F button. The FUNC indicator will
illuminate.

Press the F6 (R.TXT) button to activate the
Radio Text mode. The display shows "WAIT" for
a few seconds, then starts scrolling the text
message. It continues until other operation is
performed.

To cancel the Radio Text mode, press the F6
button.

Press the F button to return to the normal
operation mode. The FUNC indicator disappears
from the display.

NOTES

If there is no receivable text message or the unit

cannot receive a text message properly, the display
shows "NO TEXT" for 2 seconds.

Operate the unit while the FUNC indicator is

illuminated.
If no buttons are pressed within 5 seconds, the FUNC
indicator will turn off.

Press the F4 button to activate the PRIORITY
PTY mode again.

• To change the programme category, perform

the step 3.

• To disable the PRIORITY PTY function, press

the F4 button.

NOTE

In the PRIORITY PTY function, unlike in the T.INFO
function, the volume does not increase during operation.

Press the F button to activate the normal mode.
The FUNC indicator will turn off.

NOTE

Operate the unit while the FUNC indicator is
illuminated.
If no buttons are pressed within 5 seconds, the FUNC
indicator will turn off.

Turning Emergency Alarm On or
Off

Press and hold the INTLZ button for at least 2
seconds.

Press the f UP button repeatedly to select
"PTY31" Each press of the f UP button
scrolls the modes as shown.

NOTE

If you press the DN g button the display scrolls in
reverse sequence.

Press the TUNE button repeatedly to select the
PTY31 ON or PTY31 OFF mode.
In the PTY31 ON mode, the unit will show
"ALARM" in the display when the unit receives
the PTY31 (Emergency Broadcast) signal.

Press and hold the INTLZ button for at least 2
seconds to activate the selected mode.

→ FM-LE → REG → PTY31 → AMBER → DIM → SUB → BEEP
