Clip Operations

Deleting a Selection of Clips/Shots

1 Open the clip selection or shot selection index screen.

[w Other Functions] > [Clips] > [Delete] > [Select]

[w Other Functions] > [Delete Shots] > [Select]

2 Using the joystick, bring the orange selection or shot selection frame to

a clip you wish to delete and then press the joystick.

will appear next to the clip's thumbnail to indicate it

was selected. Press the joystick again to remove the checkmark.

• Repeat this step to select all the clips you wish to delete. The total

number of selected clips will appear at the bottom of the screen, next
to the

icon.

3 After selecting all the desired clips, press the MENU button.

4 Select [OK] and then press the joystick.

• Select [Cancel] instead to return to the clip selection screen.

• While the clips are being deleted, you can press the joystick to

cancel.

5 When the confirmation message appears, press the joystick.

Deleting All Clips/Shots

1 Open the [Clips Delete All] or [Delete Shots All] screen.

[w Other Functions] > [Clips] > [Delete] > [All]

[w Other Functions] > [Delete Shots] > [All]

2 Select [OK] and then press the joystick.

• All of the clips on the selected SD card will be deleted.

• Select [Cancel] instead to cancel the operation.

• While the clips are being deleted, you can press the joystick to

cancel.

3 When the confirmation message appears, press the joystick.

Converting Clips to Standard Definition

You can convert original AVCHD clips to standard definition (MPEG-2) movies. The down-conversion to standard
definition requires two SD cards: one (source) that contains the source clips to be converted and the other one
(destination) that will store the converted files (SD movies).

Converting a Single Clip to Standard Definition

1 Select the desired clip from the index screen of the source card and then press the joystick to open the clip

menu.

2 Select [Convert HD`SD] and then press the joystick.

• The estimated size of the converted SD movie and the available space on the destination card will be

displayed on the screen.

3 Select [OK] and then press the joystick.

• Select [Cancel] instead to cancel the operation.
