Upgrading the Windows 2000 Driver to the Current
Mylex Driver

WARNING
In order to avoid a system failure, you must
uninstall GAM components before you begin the
Windows 2000 upgrade.
This condition occurs when:
• Windows 2000 operating system is already installed, and
• All hardware has already been installed and configured, and
• You only need to upgrade the embedded Windows 2000 driver.
Go to “Updating the Mylex Controller Driver” on page 4-16.
Upgrading Windows NT 4.0 to Windows 2000

WARNING
In order to avoid a system failure, you must
uninstall GAM components before you begin the
Windows 2000 upgrade.
This upgrade requires that your Windows NT 4.0 contains Service Pack 4 or
higher. Please refer to your Microsoft documentation for additional
information
Please study the options below and select the one that meets your upgrade
requirements.
Windows NT 4.0 with a Mylex controller
If you are running a system with only Windows NT 4.0 and a Mylex
controller:
• Complete the Windows 2000 upgrade, then
• Go to “Updating the Mylex Controller Driver” on page 4-16 to upgrade
the Mylex Windows 2000 driver.
