2. In the Manage Filters window, click "New" to display the New Filter
window.
3. Click the Filter Type drop-down arrow and select the type of filter to be
created. Possible types are:
Severity
Use this parameter to filter out lower or higher severity events, or to
view events for only one severity level.
Source
Use this parameter to filter out events from a specific device, or to
filter out all events except a specific device.
Description
Type the text for an event descriptions that you want to filter. Use this
parameter to filter out events by specific event description text.
Date Use this parameter to filter events for a specific date and time.
Status
Use this parameter to display acknowledged or unacknowledged
events only. [True=acknowledged, False=unacknowledged]
4. Type in a Name for the event filter.
5. Select the Operator to be applied from the drop-down menu. The list will
vary based on the filter type. The operators list includes one or more of
the following:
Operator Action
EQUAL TO Display only events that match the criteria
NOT EQUAL TO Do not display events that match the criteria
GREATER THAN Display events of matching or greater value than criteria.
LESS THAN Display events of matching or lesser value than criteria.
CONTAINS Display only events that match criteria
DOES NOT CONTAIN Do not display events that match criteria
