Setting Up Your Printer

Your HP DeskJet printer is designed for connection to your computer using either
of the following two cables:

Parallel Printer Cable —

This is the recommended method. You can use

this method when your computer is running either

Windows 95, Windows 98,

Windows NT 4.0,

or

Windows 3.1x

Universal Serial Bus (USB) Cable —

This method is only supported if

you are running

Windows 98

on your computer.

The printer cable is not supplied with the printer.

You must purchase the printer

cable separately. Go to page 75 for information on ordering either a parallel printer
cable or a USB cable.
