214 Installing the Disk Array FC60 Software (HP-UX Only)

Verifying the Operating System

The Disk Array FC60 is supported on the following operating systems versions:

HP-UX 11.0, 11.11, and 10.20

Before installing the Disk Array FC60 system software, verify that you are running the
required operating system version. To identify the operating system version, type:

uname -a

A response similar to the following should be displayed indicating the version of HP-UX the
host is running:

HP-UX myhost B.11.0.0 C 9000/750 1234567890 n-user license

Note

Controller firmware HP08 is not supported on HP-UX 11.11. If the disk array is
being installed on a host running HP-UX 11.11, it will be necessary to
downgrade the controller firmware to HP03 after installing the software.

Installing the Disk Array FC60 Software

The following HP-UX patches are required for the HP SureStore E Disk Array FC60.

HP-UX 10.20: PHCO_22627 and PHSS_22846

– HP-UX 11.0: PHCO_22628 and PHSS_22847

The required patches can be downloaded from the following web sites:

ftp://hpatlse.atl.hp.com/hp-ux_patches/ (Internal web site)

Note

The patches are not currently included on the HP-UX Support Plus CD-ROM.
They must be downloaded from the indicated web sites.

To install the software:

1. Download and install the required patches.

2. Execute the following command to verify that the required patches are installed:
