DTS OUTPUT
"dts Output" sets the dts output as to whether the connected
amplifier contains a DTS decoder or not.
The default setting is "dts OFF".
1 Select "Audio Output Setting" by using i / k in the setup
menu. Then press ENTER.
2 Use i / k to move the cursor to "dts Output".

Select this option if the unit is connected to an amplifier with a
DTS decoder.
dts OFF
Select this option if the unit is connected to an amplifier without
a DTS decoder.
5 Press ENTER.
Your entry is saved.
6 Press v RETURN to return to the previous screen, or press
SET UP to exit the setup menu.
CAUTION
If the AV amplifier is not equipped with a DTS decoder,
do not select "dts ON" in the "dts Output" when
connecting the AV amplifier with an optical connecting
cord.
Merely attempting to play a DVD may cause a high level of
noise which could be harmful to your ears and damage the
speakers. In such a case, be sure to select "dts OFF".
DOWN MIX TYPE
"Down Mix Type" selects the type of signal output from the LINE
OUT jacks.
This setting is effective only when a Dolby Digital decoder or an
amplifier with a built-in Dolby Digital decoder is connected to the
LINE OUT jacks.
The default setting is "Surround Mode".
1 Select "Audio Output Setting" by using i / k in the setup
menu. Then press ENTER.
2 Use i / k to move the cursor to "Down Mix Type".

NOTE
When playing a disc that supports the DTS Digital Surround while
"dts Output" is set to "dts ON", no sound will be heard from the
unit's speakers and the headphones connected to the PHONES
jack.
