Getting Started

Use the Battery Power cable to provide 12V to the tool when

using the SCI adapter cable.

SCI

The SCI (serial communications interface) DLC is a

6-pin connector located in the engine compartment.

The adapter cable to be used on these vehicles is

supplied with the tool. This cable is labeled CHRY on

the 15 pin DB style connector and SCI on the vehicle

end.

LH

The DLC is used on LH platform vehicles. The LH

style DLC is a small, blue, rectangular 6-pin

connector located in the passenger compartment

below the dashboard to the right of the steering

column.
The LH Adapter Cable (P/N 9605) is optional and

must be purchased separately.

Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs)

Diagnostic Trouble Codes are used to help determine the cause of
a problem or problems with a vehicle.

Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) consist of a five-digit
alphanumeric code.

The Diagnostic Trouble Codes format and general code types are shown below.
