To connect an MP3 player

1. Connect an auxiliary device (an iPod, MP3 or CD player) into the ‘LINE IN’ socket on the side of the unit using a suitable audio

cable with a 3.5mm jack (not supplied). When a device is connected to the ‘LINE IN’ socket the screen on the unit will display
‘Auxiliary input’.

2. If necessary, press the

[Tune]

button to switch Highway on.

3. Set the volume level of the auxiliary device to medium, press play and adjust the volume level on the car stereo if necessary.

Highway will transmit the audio to the currently selected FM frequency.

4. If you hear interference when listening to an auxiliary device press

[quickSCAN]

twice to scan up to the next free FM frequency

and then re-tune your car radio to the new frequency. You can also store FM transmit presets (see

page 10

).

To listen to a radio station again

Disconnect your iPod, MP3 or CD player from the ‘LINE IN’ socket on Highway to return to listening to DAB. It is not possible to
switch back to DAB without disconnecting the lead from the ‘LINE IN’ socket.
