All the basic settings of the unit are properly preset at
the factory.
Check that "TV Aspect", "Progressive Scan" and "Digital
Audio Output" in the setup menu are correctly set according
to the type of equipment connected to the unit. For details
on the setting, refer to the "Connections" section on pages
13 to 22.
Change any other settings according to your personal
preferences.

changed, then press the

Disc Audio* (page 47)

Sets the audio soundtrack language.

Disc Subtitle* (page 48)

Sets the subtitle language.

Disc Menu* (page 48)

Sets the language used in the DVD menu screen.

* If the selected language does not exist on the disc, the

original language for the disc is selected.

Rating** (page 49)

When playing discs with preset restriction level encoding,
the unit cuts scenes of excessive violence, etc. by this
setting.

Country Code** (page 50)

Adjust the set restriction level to the cinema rating system
of the country where the DVD disc was produced.

** The setting is protected by a password.

TV Aspect (page 50)

Sets the aspect ratio of the TV connected to the unit.

Menu Language (page 51)

Sets the language used in the setup menu.

Progressive Scan (page 52)

Turns on and off the progressive scan signal output.

Digital Audio Output (page 52)

Sets the digital audio to be output from the unit according
to the type of audio equipment connected to the unit.

Others (page 53)

Turns on and off the DRC (Dynamic Range Control).
