12. RELEASING STEAM PRESSURE AND OPENING

The pressure cooker can only be opened when there
is no pressure inside it. This is a safety feature.
Reduce the pressure in one of the following ways:

- Natural pressure release:

Remove the pressure

cooker from the heat source and allow it to cool
down naturally. Depending on the amount of food
and liquid on the cooker this method may take
around 10 to 15 minutes.

Passed these 15 minutes, turn the regulating valve

to the "release position" and check when the red
pressure sensor gets down to open the pressure
cooker safety.

- Automatic Release:

Remove the pressure cooker from

the heat source, place the regulating valve in the release
position and allow the steam to come out completely
so you can open pressure cookersafety. We only
recommend this automatic release method for foods
cooked at the lowest pressure level (position I).

- Fast pressure reduction:

Place pressure cooker under running water but prevent water

from being sucked into the cooker.

This method is used to release pressure as quickly as possible. Primarily used for vegetables,

seafood and other tender foods that can quickly overcook. To use this method, remove the
pressure cooker from the burner, place it in the sink and run cold tap water gently over
the lid until steam disappears completely and the pressure indicator is lowered.

When putting the cooker in the sink, tilt it so the cold water runs downwards.

- Never open the pressure cooker towards your face since there may be intense

cooking steam still inside the unit.

- Always face safety vent on the side of the lid away from yourself while cooking.
- When changing pressure levels/moving the pressure regulating valve, we

recommend to protect your hands with a heat resistant mitten.

- Always follow instructions about what kind of food is suitable to be cooked in

a pressure cooker.

- Never use this pressure cooker for frying with oil under pressure.
