CH Digit Lock
Select the sub item(Off or Lock to two digits) using
the …† buttons, then press the ENTER button.
• Off : Select this when your cable box or satellite
receiver only accepts a three or more digit chan-
nel numbers. Normally select this.
• Lock to two digits : Select this when your cable box
or satellite receiver only accepts
a two digit channel number.
Mode for SET button
Some Set-top boxes require you to press SET after
pressing the channel number. If your STB operates this
way, follow the instructions below to set Mode 1 or 2.
Select the sub item(Off, Mode 1 or Mode 2) using the
…† buttons, then press the ENTER button.
• Off : No code is sent when the SET button is
pressed. Normally select this.
• Mode 1 or Mode 2 : Sends the channel number you
entered.
Control
Select the sub item(Off or On) using the …† buttons,
then press the ENTER button.
• Off : Turns off the cable box or satellite receiver con-
trol function.
Select this if you do not want to use the supplied
set top box controller (IR Blaster).
• On : Turns on the cable box or satellite receiver con-
trol function.
Set Top Box Test
Select Set Top Box Test using the …† buttons, then
press the ENTER or œ √ button. System menu will be
displayed.
If you cannot get the recorder to control your
cable box/satellite receiver, check the connection
and position of the IR Blaster cable.(pages 16~17)
If your cable box or satellite receiver still does not
operate with this recorder, contact your cable
company to see if they can provide you with a
compatible cable box or satellite receiver.
This menu may not work depending on your STB.
Note
If "Mode 1" does not work, try "Mode 2."
If your cable box or satellite receiver does not
respond to either setting, contact the manufactur-
er of the cable box or satellite receiver.
