This function lets you select the fi le naming format.
[Reset] : After using the reset function,
the next fi le name is started at
0001 even if you’ve formatted the
memory, deleted all pictures, or
inserted a new memory card.
[Series]* : New fi les are named using
numbers that follow the previous sequence, even if you’ve
installed a new memory card is used, formatted, or deleted
all pictures.
- The fi rst stored folder name is 100PHOTO, and the fi rst fi le name
is SAM_0001.
- File names are assigned sequentially from SAM_0001 Ã
SAM_0002 à to à SAM_9999.
- The folder number is assigned sequentially from 100 to 999 as
follows: 100PHOTO Ã 101PHOTO Г ~ Г 999PHOTO.
- The maximum numbers of fi les in a folder is 9999.
- The fi les used with the memory card conform to the DCF (Design
rule for Camera File systems) format. If you change the image fi le
name, the image may not play back.

Setting up the Date / Time / Date type
You can change the date and time that the camera displays on
captured images and set up the date type. Setting [Time Zone]
enables you to display the local date and time on the LCD screen
when travelling overseas.
