• Camera is in playback mode.
• Battery is exhausted.
• Number of exposures remaining is zero: not

enough memory remaining.

• Focus indicator flashes: camera unable to focus.
• Flash-ready indicator flashes: flash is charging.
• Message “MEMORY CARD IS NOT FORMAT-

TED” appears in monitor or viewfinder: memo-
ry card is not formatted for use in COOLPIX5700.

• Message “NO MEMORY CARD” appears in mon-

itor or viewfinder: no memory card in camera.

• Camera is set to self-timer mode.
