3.3 Installation of the cut-off wheels

Only use diamond cut-off wheels that are approved for a speed of at least 5000

1/min!

Place the equipment on its side so that the scale for the cut depth can be seen.
Release lever

(7) for cut depth adjustment and set to the smallest cut depth (20 mm)

Release the clamping nut

(A) using the 2-hole spanner and remove the spacers (B) and

wheel flange

(C). Clean if necessary.

Place the wheel flange

(C) on the spindle and turn until it locks into place.

Set the groove width using the spacers

(B).

The number and thickness of the spacers between
the cut-off wheels determine the width of the groove
to be milled. Groove widths can be chosen between 8
– 40 mm:

8 mm

= 1 x 4 mm wheel

10 mm = 1 x 6 mm wheel
12 mm = 2 x 4 mm wheel
20 mm = 4 x 4 mm wheel
40 mm = 4 x 6 mm wheel and 3 x 4mm wheels

Irrespective of the groove width all 7 spacers must always be installed. At least
one spacer must be positioned between both diamond cut-off wheels.

Depending on the width of the groove, insert spacers

(B) onto the wheel flange (C) through

the opening on the protective cover.

Apply diamond cut-off wheels

(D) according to the rotational direction arrows.

Please note. Protect the cut-off wheels against impact and knocks. Only use original
diamond cut-off wheel accessories!

Screw on clamping nut

(A), operate spindle locking device and tighten using 2-hole spanner.

Carry out test run: allow the wall slit milling cutter to run for approx. 30 seconds in a safe

position when the diamond wheels are installed. Do not use vibrating wheels. The
equipment continues to run for approx. 10 seconds after being switched off.

Please note. There must be no wobble or radial run-out when the cut-off wheels are
installed and they must be able to rotate freely. Do not continue to use damaged or
vibrating cut-off wheels!

Even when using the smallest cut depth setting the installed cut-off wheels

will protrude out of the protective cover. Do not, therefore, put the equipment

down on the rollers when switched off!!

3.4 Initial operation

Information: 230 V equipment can also be operated from a 220 V mains supply.
The starting current limiter ensures that the equipment starts up smoothly and that a 16 A fuse is
adequate.

Set the protective cover

(9) to the desired cutting depth by means of the clamping lever (7).

Please note: Maximum infeed per cut is 20 mm!

Ensure that the cut-off wheels can move freely.
Screw the additional handle

(8) onto the left or right of the handle holder depending on

working position.

The handle holder can also be adapted to the respective working position in 30° stages

using the locking screw.
