What should I do if I cannot enter certain characters with my keyboard?

Check if the Caps Lock indicator light is on or off.
When the indicator light is on, characters typed will appear in uppercase (or lowercase if you
also hold down the Shift key).
Press the Caps Lock key to turn the Caps Lock indicator light on or off. See

Make sure the keyboard is within 1.6 ft. / 50 cm of your VAIO computer. See

Open the charms and select the

Settings charm.

Select Change PC settings in the lower right corner, and select Wireless in the left pane.
Turn off Airplane mode and change the Keyboard Receiver set to ON. Then turn the
power and touch pad on/off switch for Keyboard OFF, then ON again.
If the battery indicator light of the keyboard is blinking, the battery is getting low. Charge
the keyboard. See

What should I do if my VAIO computer screen freezes?

Restart your VAIO computer.
Press the Ctrl+Alt+Delete keys, select

(Shut down) in the lower right corner of the

computer screen, and then select Restart.
If the problem persists, press and hold down the

(Power) button for more than 4 or 10

seconds.

What should I do if the pointer does not move?

If your finger reaches an edge of the touch pad, the pointer will not move. You will need to
lift your finger, and then place it back on the center of the touch pad.
The pointer may not move temporarily as expected depending on the condition of your VAIO
computer.
In such a case, wait for a while before moving the pointer again.
If the pointer still does not move, press the Ctrl+Alt+Delete keys, select

(Shut down)

in the lower right corner of the computer screen, and then select Shut down.
If the problem persists, press and hold down the

(Power) button for more than 4 or 10

seconds.
Turning off the computer with the Ctrl+Alt+Delete keys or the

(Power) button may cause

loss of unsaved data.
