* You hear a melody or beep sound when the warning indicators appear on the screen.

• The “Memory Stick Duo” data is damaged.
• The “Memory Stick Duo” is not formatted correctly (p. 73).

incompatible “Memory Stick Duo”)*

• An incompatible “Memory Stick Duo” is inserted.

(Warning indicator pertaining to

the tape)

Slow flashing:
• There is less than 5 minutes remaining on the tape.
• No cassette is inserted.*
• The write-protect tab on the cassette is set to lock (p. 127).*
Fast flashing:
• The tape has run out.*

Z (Eject cassette warning)*

Slow flashing:
• The write-protect tab on the cassette is set to lock (p. 127).
Fast flashing:
• Moisture condensation has occurred (p. 133).
• The self-diagnosis display code is displayed (p. 121).

cThe amount of lights is not sufficient, so you are not holding the

camcorder steady enough. Use the flash, secure the camcorder in place.
But the camera-shake warning indicator does not disappear.

cThe camcorder is unsteady, so camera-shake easily occurs. Hold the

camcorder steady with both hands and shoot the image. However, note
that the camera-shake warning indicator does not disappear.
