Adding Memory
Your notebook is equipped with two memory slots, and comes with a 128 MB
memory module preinstalled in one of the slots, thus providing 256 MB
maximum memory capacity. In the future you may want to install an additional
memory module, to expand the functionality of your notebook and increase its
data processing speed, especially when several software applications are open at
the same time. To upgrade memory, use only PC100(CL2) SDRAM SO-DIMM
with gold lead contacts.

❑ Disconnect the system from its power source and from any
telecommunications links, networks, or modems before you open the system

a station is not available, do not work in a carpeted area, and do not handle

Be careful when installing a memory module in your notebook, and be sure to
observe the proper safety precautions listed below. Mistakes that occur when
installing or removing a memory module may cause a malfunction.
