Capturing Web camera images
The following information tells you how to set preferences and capture an image.
To set Web camera mode preferences
1. Open Network Smart Capture:
 (Microsoft ® Windows ® XP) From the Start menu, click All Programs, Network Smart Capture, and click
Network Smart Capture from the submenu.
 (Microsoft ® Windows ® 2000) From the Start menu, click Programs, Network Smart Capture, and click
Network Smart Capture from the submenu.
2. Click Web camera to activate Web camera mode.
3. Click the Change Setting icon to view the available options for your image capture. The Web Camera
Setting window appears.

The Web Camera Setting window has five tabs:
 Basic — Select a folder destination to store your images, set your maximum observation time, and
choose your dial-up setting.
 Capture Interval — Set your Web camera to capture images at intervals or whenever there is
movement.
 Send — Set image upload preferences.
 Image Quality — Select the image size in pixels, and adjust the image quality.
 Common — Enable or disable the shutter sound.
4. Click each tab to view options and set preferences. To apply effects to an image, see Applying effects to your
images and movies.
