Memory keys

Saving numbers and names to memory keys

You can save the numbers and names of your customers, business associates, or anyone
you call frequently in 9516CW’s five memory keys. You can also assign those numbers
Call Announcements (Voice Tags) and personal greetings. See Directory on page 20 for
more information on saving additional numbers and names to the Directory.

Note: To achieve the best sound quality for recorded greetings and Call Announcements,

it is recommended that you record by speaking into the handset instead of the
handsfree microphone.

To delete all items in the Callers List:

again to confirm deletion of the entire Callers List.

To save a new name and number to a memory key:

1.

2.

Press the desired memory key.
Note: If you attempt to save to a memory key that already contains an entry, the
message,

Key in use, Delete to change,

appears. You must first delete the old entry

before saving a new one. See

Deleting memory keys

on page 40 for more

information.

Enter the number using the dial pad.

. Only the number is stored at this point.

If you do not want a name, go to step 6. To enter a name, use the dial pad.

Select the mailbox number you want to assign to this person. If you do not select a
mailbox, the General Mailbox is assigned. See Mailboxes on page 29.

Lift the handset and press
