2. Quick Start
This chapter gives you a brief introduction of how to use Kudos Navigation System.
2.1 GPS Connection
Your navigation device uses GPS technology for navigation. The device receives signals from a number of GPS satellites in
order to determine your current position.
Place your navigation device in a location with an unobstructed view to the sky to set up your first satellite connection. In
the car this will usually mean mounting the unit on the lower part of the windscreen.
2.2 Getting Started
Please make sure that the battery in your device is charged.
Switch on the unit and from the menu select Navigation. The navigational software will start to load.

System enter “System Attention” screen.
Tap on “Accept” to confirm that you have read the statement and to
continue. If you do not wish to be shown this screen in the future,
tick the box next to “Don’t show this statement again”.

You will now be shown the Kudos Welcome screen, which
shows the progress of the loading software on the yellow bar at the
bottom.

Note: It may take 2-3minutes to get satellite information and orientate accurate position (Cold start) for the first use. And
your position fix is stored in the memory. Subsequent connections will be faster (30 seconds to 1 minute), but if you
have not used the unit for several days or are far away from the last location where you used the unit, it may take up to
2-3 minutes again to find a strong signal.
