With the motorplate installed it is now time to move to
the right side of the motorcycle to re-install the starter
to the rear of the motorplate. (See figure 5).

From the right side of the bike, install and torque the
two starter flange bolts into the motorplate. (See figure
6).
NOTE: Don’t forget to apply 2 drops of blue thread lock-
er on each bolt.

Install the entire jackshaft as an assembly from the front of the motorplate as shown,
sliding the coupler over the end of the starter shaft. Lightly holding the pinion gear as
shown, thread the bolt into the center of jackshaft assy. Torque the 1/4-20 bolt to 12 ft.
lbs. and the 10-32 bolt to 6 ft. lbs. (See figure 7, 7a, 7b &7c)
