Muting the microphone
You may switch off the microphone on your handset whilst telephoning.
The handset remains switched on. Your call partner cannot hear you but
you can hear her/him.
Muting the microphone
You are speaking on the telephone.

Switch off microphone: press button 1 for a long period. appears in
the display.
Reactivating the microphone
The microphone is off. appears in the display.

Switch on microphone: press button 1 for a long period. You may
continue telephoning.
If you end a call with the microphone muted, the microphone will be auto-
matically reactivated when commencing the next call.
