Unable to set index
marks

The maximum number of index marks (32) has
been reached.

Erase unnecessary index marks (

☞ P.38).

The file is locked.

Unlock the file from the file menu (

☞ P.42).

The SD card is locked.

Unlock the SD card lock.

Cannot recharge

[Battery] is set to [Alkaline].

When using the supplied rechargeable bat-
teries, set the battery setting to [Ni-MH]. Also,
please avoid using the batteries outside the
recommended temperature range (

☞ P.13, P.16).

You have not pressed the PLAY/OK button.

When using the USB connection, follow the
confirmation display and press the PLAY/OK
button.

[USB Class] is set to [Composite].

Stop the operation on the recorder. Charge will
start 1 minute after the end of the operation.

Please close the applications in use.

Cannot find the
recorded file

Wrong folder.

Switch to the right folder (

☞ P.36).

Cannot connect to
a PC

Sometimes a connection cannot be made with
some PCs running Windows XP or Vista.

You need to change the PC’s USB settings. See
DSS Player Online help for details (

☞ P.55).
