RDS
RDS (radio data system) is a system for providing information along with FM broadcasts. This
inaudible information provides such features as program service name, program type, traffic
announcement standby and automatic tuning, intended to aid radio listeners in finding and tun-
ing in to a desired station.
BAND
Shows which band the radio is tuned to, MW, LW or FM.
FREQUENCY
Shows to which frequency the tuner is tuned.
Program service name
Shows the type of broadcast program.
PTY Information
Icons for Traffic and News
The icon changes depending on the setting of the TA and NEWS function and the status
of the incoming data.
AF indicator
This is indicated when the AF indicator is ON.
TEXT indicator
This is indicated when the RDS tuner is receiving radio text.
