witching the telephone connec-
tion setting
You can switch between handsfree telephoning
and telephone muting in accordance with the
connection of the cellular telephone you use.
When using the handsfree telephone unit (sold
separately), select “Telephone”.
1. With the source turned off, press and
hold 1.
2. Press VOICE to select the voice interrupt
selection mode.
3. Press VOICE to switch between hands-
free telephoning and telephone muting.
When you select handsfree telephoning,
“Telephone” appears in the display.
When you select telephone muting, “Mute”
appears in the display.

muting/attenuation setting
When you don’t use the handsfree telephone
unit (when “Mute” is selected), either muting or
attenuation is selectable.
1. With the source turned off, press and
hold 1.
2. Press MUTE.S to select the telephone
muting/attenuation mode.
3. Press MUTE.S to select the desired set-
ting.
Press MUTE.S repeatedly to switch between
the following settings:
TEL mute
=
10dB ATT
=
20dB ATT
Sound from this product is muted or attenu-
ated automatically when a call is made or
received using a connected cellular tele-
phone.
• “20dB ATT” has a stronger effect than
“10dB ATT”, and “TEL mute” has a
stronger effect than “20dB ATT”.

witching the telephone standby
setting
If you want to use the handsfree telephone unit
without playing other sources of this product,
turn the telephone standby setting on.
1. With the source turned off, press and
hold 1.
2. Press STNDBY to select the telephone
standby mode.
3. Press STNDBY to turn telephone standby
on.
“ON” appears in the display.
• Press STNDBY again to turn telephone
standby off.
Note:
• You can select the telephone standby mode only
when “Telephone” is selected.

etting the FM tuning step
Normally, the FM tuning step is set at 50 kHz
during seek tuning, however, it changes to 100
kHz when the AF or TA function is on.
You can set the FM tuning step to 50 kHz even
when the AF or TA function is on.
1. With the source turned off, press and
hold 1.
2. Press NEXT and then press FMstep to
select the FM tuning step mode.
3. Press the corresponding button to select
the desired tuning step.

50K 50 kHz
100K 100 kHz
Note:
• The FM tuning step remains set at 50 kHz during
manual tuning.
• The tuning step returns to 100 kHz if the battery is
temporarily disconnected.
